Mosquito Control
The primary goal of the Mosquito Control Program is to reduce the risk of mosquito borne disease outbreaks in the community. The secondary goal is to reduce the number of nuisance mosquitoes. To accomplish these goals, this program uses an integrated pest management system to reduce and prevent mosquito breeding through mosquito population monitoring, disease monitoring, source reduction education, complaint investigation, and adulticide application (KY Department for Agriculture).
